The recipe for cooking lobster thermidor
Ingredients:
- 2 whole lobsters (1.5 to 2 pounds each)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lobsters in boiling water for about 8 minutes, then remove and let cool.
- Split the lobsters in half lengthwise and remove the meat, reserving the shells.
- Cut the lobster meat into bite-sized pieces.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté the shallot until soft.
- Add white wine and reduce by half.
- Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Cook until thickened.
- Add the lobster meat to the sauce and season with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the mixture back into the lobster shells and top with grated Parmesan.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
